Descriptif de l'album

Une somme et le fruit de toute une vie de musique présenté en 41 CDs, répartis en 2 volumes et classés selon la chronologie historique depuis des Symphonies de Mozart jusqu'à celles de Mahler, en passant par Haydn, Beethoven (deuxième intégrale d'Abbado avec l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Berlin), Schubert, Mendelssohn, Brahms et Bruckner. On y retrouve cet art particulier de Claudio Abbado fait de probité, de naturel, sans effets de manche, avec un grand sens du "tempo giusto", baigné d'un lyrisme lumineux. Le Maestro italien dirige les phalanges les plus prestigieuses, Berlin, Vienne, le Mahler Chamber Orchestra, le Chamber Orchestra of Europe, l'Orchestre du Festival de Lucerne et L'Orchestre Mozart, une création dont il est, à juste titre, si fier. C'est à la riche histoire de la Symphonie (ignorant toutefois superbement la France et la Finlande de Sibelius) que nous sommes conviés dans la perspective d'un seul chef dont le souci constant est de servir la musique avec éloquence et modestie. Tim Burton en 10 albums

Qu’il tourne en prises de vues réelles ou en stop motion, Tim Burton a construit en plus de trente ans un monde cinématographique où le merveilleux poétique côtoie le gothique et l’humour macabre. À quelques exceptions près, c’est le compositeur Danny Elfman qui l’a épaulé dans cette aventure, formant un duo symbiotique : sans les images de Burton, la musique de Elfman n’aurait pas la même saveur et vice versa, ce qu’ils ont encore prouvé en 2019 avec le bouleversant “Dumbo”.
