Seedsmen to the World

Seedsmen to the World is a collaboration between some of Detroit's most esteemed astral travelers of sound, joining together the droning atmospheric sounds of Infinite River with vocalist/songwriter Ethan Daniel Davidson. The group made their recorded debut in 2022 with a self-titled LP on the Blue Arrow Records label. Seedsmen to the World is made up of guitarists Gretchen Gonzales (Slumber Party, Universal Indians, Terror at the Opera) and Joey Mazzola (Sponge, Detroit Cobras), His Name Is Alive bandleader Warren Defever on harmonium and tanpura, drummer/percussionist Steve Nistor (Daniel Lanois, Sparks), and Ethan Daniel Davidson on vocals and cello banjo. Before forming Seedsmen to the World, Davidson had issued multiple solo albums and Defever, Gonzales, and Mazzola had worked together under the moniker Infinite River. The band's debut album consisted of four long, amorphous drones, with Davidson reinterpolating lyrics to familiar songs by Bob Dylan and Creedence Clearwater Revival, along with lesser-known songs by more obscure artists.
