Ryan Trey

St. Louis singer, songwriter, and rapper Ryan Trey makes music that is equal parts smooth R&B melodies and moody trap production. After gaining attention for projects released while he was still in high school, Trey collaborated with Bryson Tiller on his 2019 track "Nowhere to Run," and steadily released new music in the form of singles and projects like the 2021 EP A 64 East Saga. His sophomore album, Streets Say You Miss Me, came out on Interscope in late 2023. Trey was born in St. Louis in 1999. He began sharing songs online while he was in high school, and in 2017 he released his debut mixtape, EIGHT24. The eight-song project included the single "Real," which was Trey's first track to reach a national audience. In 2018, he released his debut album, August, and in 2019 he broke through in a more marked way with the release of the single "Nowhere to Run," a collaborative song with Bryson Tiller. The track was streamed tens of millions of times, and exposed Trey to a much wider audience. Over the next two years, he released multiple stand-alone singles like 2020's "Rollin" and 2021's "It's About a Girl," collecting most of these tracks along with some new material on the the 2021 EP 64 East Saga was his first releases on Interscope. After a relatively quiet 2022, Trey began ramping up for his next project, issuing "Ain't Even Friends" with Mariah the Scientist and "30 Floors Up" ahead of his sophomore album, 2023's Streets Say You Miss Me.
