Mason Hill
Glasgow-based rock group Mason Hill lean into the bombast and big riffs that come with the classic rock territory, with an added touch of vibrancy and enthusiasm.
Guitarist James Bird was something of a prodigy, having toured the U.K. and performed alongside well-established acts by the age of 14. He met vocalist Scott Taylor at school, forming a bond over their love of classic rock. They formed Mason Hill in 2013, with the addition of Marc Montgomery (guitar), Matthew Ward (bass), and Craig McFetridge (drums). Their self-titled debut EP arrived in 2015, launching them into a busy touring schedule, including numerous festival appearances. The band parted ways with their initial record label, Frontiers, in 2018, and signed to 7Hz Productions in 2021. Through their new label, they released their debut album, Against the Wall, later the same year.
