Emilia Jones

Born on 23 February, 2002 in Westminister, London, Emilia Jones is known primarily as an actor who has also honed a talent for singing. After beginning her acting career in 2010 at the age of 8, playing the character of Jasmine in the 2011 romantic drama film One Day, she landed the role of Alice in the hit Channel 4 drama series Utopia (2013), and later that year appeared as the young Queen of Years Merry Gejelh in the Doctor Who episode "The Rings of Akhaten." She gained notoriety for her portrayal of Kinsey Locke in the Netflix fantasy horror series Locke & Key (2020-present) and the following year played the lead role of Ruby Rossi in Academy Award-winning coming-of-age drama CODA, receiving a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role. The daughter of Welsh singer and TV presenter Aled Jones (whose celebrated rendition of "Walking in the Air" from The Snowman by Raymond Briggs catapulted him to national treasure status), Emilia Jones has also displayed an affinity for music. She contributed to the 2019 soundtrack for the Horrible Histories movie and in 2021 began honing her singing skills prior to filming CODA, in which she plays an aspiring singer.
