Le trio de Lady Antebellum a raflé cinq prix aux Grammy Awards de 2011, sur les six catégories dans lesquelles il était nominé, renforçant ainsi leur statut de superstars grand public qui transcendent les scènes. Le son de Own the Night (2011), la suite de l'album qui les a fait percer en 2010, Need You Now, est celui d'un groupe qui se contente de sa position mainstream. Les lenteurs de la country, son côté un peu larmoyant, ont été remplacés par une country pop rock destinée à se glisser dans l'arrière-plan de n'importe quelle atmosphère. Ces chansons d'amour gagné et perdu sont oniriques et belles, et rappellent beaucoup "Need You Now". Own the Night est de la musique mélancolique apaisante.
