Album posthume paru en 1984, ce Milk And Honey est en fait indissociable de Double Fantasy, paru quatre années plus tôt, juste avant l'assassinat de Lennon. Yoko reprend l’affaire en main et assemble ces chansons qui s’inscrivent dans la même lignée que ce dernier Lennon qui rafla la mise lors de sa parution en novembre 1980. Le résultat est ici nettement plus brut, plus rock et moins léché que sur Double Fantasy. Une approche sonore qui permet à Milk And Honey de se démarquer. L’ancien Beatles vivant, ce disque aurait sans doute été tout autre. Qu’importe, sa plume est bien là, sa voix aussi et, à aucun moment, Milk And Honey ne sent l’arnaque ou l’imposture.
