Public Enemy continue dans leur détournement de titres emblématiques, lorgnant du côté de Star Wars cette fois-ci.
Mais le contenu lyrique ne change pas, toujours cette dénonciation de l’Amérique bien pensante qui exploite à sa guise les minorités, avec des titres comme « Can’t Truss It » ou « I Don’t Wanna Be Called Yo Nigga ». « By the Time I Get To Arizona » vise les administrations fédérales qui ne respectent pas la journée offerte afin de respecter la mémoire du révérend Martin Luther King. Le morceau sera accompagné d’une vidéo plutôt explicite dans laquelle il s‘en prennent au gouverneur de l‘Arizona. Un remix de Pete Rock permettra à « Shut Em Down » de retrouver une nouvelle vie, tout comme la collaboration avec Anthrax sur « Bring the Noise ».
Un ton en dessous du précédent album, même si l’ensemble reste solide, mais sans surprises véritables.
