Questo volume 14 dei Bootleg Series di Bob Dylan è senza dubbio il più atteso, visto che riguarda l’album considerato da molti fan il più importante: Blood On The Tracks. Nella sua autobiografia, Zim citerà Cechov come maggior ispirazione di questo disco, pubblicato nel gennaio 1975. Ma, evidentemente, è la separazione dalla moglie Sara a conferire un’aura magica a questo capolavoro. La sua prosa si fa sublime, e ogni parola è un paesaggio dell’anima, perfetto, senza cadute di gusto. Il suo folk rock è ornato da una ritmica sempre presente ma mai invadente, da una strumentazione di buon gusto e da giri di chitarra giusti per cantare la melodia. Tutte le scenette introspettive, dalla scrittura pura e sobria, mostrano un Dylan più umano che mai, artisticamente rivitalizzato da questo periodo doloroso sul piano umano. In poche parole, un Dylan magistrale che alterna canzoni malinconiche, grida, e, come di consueto, brani misteriosi.

Questo cofanetto da più di 80 pezzi propone, in modo cronologico, le sessioni newyorkesi e quelle di Minneapolis. Dylan aveva realizzato, in realtà, una prima versione del disco, ma su consiglio del fratello David Zimmerman aveva poi deciso di registrare tutto da capo. L’album ufficiale mescolerà spezzoni di entrambe le sessioni. False partenze, balbettamenti, attacchi alternativi, cambiamenti di ritmo o di strumentazione, è l’elaborazione dalla A alla Z di Blood On The Tracks che colpisce durante tutto questo dantesco More Blood, More Tracks: The Bootleg Series Vol. 14 (Deluxe Edition). Questo volume 14 dei Bootleg Series di Bob Dylan è senza dubbio il più atteso, visto che riguarda l’album considerato da molti fan il più importante: Blood On The Tracks. Nella sua autobiografia, Zim citerà Cechov come maggior ispirazione di questo disco, pubblicato nel gennaio 1975. Ma, evidentemente, è la separazione dalla moglie Sara a conferire un’aura magica a questo capolavoro. La sua prosa si fa sublime, e ogni parola è un paesaggio dell’anima, perfetto, senza cadute di gusto. Il suo folk rock è ornato da una ritmica sempre presente ma mai invadente, da una strumentazione di buon gusto e da giri di chitarra giusti per cantare la melodia. Tutte le scenette introspettive, dalla scrittura pura e sobria, mostrano un Dylan più umano che mai, artisticamente rivitalizzato da questo periodo doloroso sul piano umano. In poche parole, un Dylan magistrale che alterna canzoni malinconiche, grida, e, come di consueto, brani misteriosi.

Questo cofanetto da più di 80 pezzi propone, in modo cronologico, le sessioni newyorkesi e quelle di Minneapolis. Dylan aveva realizzato, in realtà, una prima versione del disco, ma su consiglio del fratello David Zimmerman aveva poi deciso di registrare tutto da capo. L’album ufficiale mescolerà spezzoni di entrambe le sessioni. False partenze, balbettamenti, attacchi alternativi, cambiamenti di ritmo o di strumentazione, è l’elaborazione dalla A alla Z di Blood On The Tracks che colpisce durante tutto questo dantesco More Blood, More Tracks: The Bootleg Series Vol. 14 (Deluxe Edition).
