Imen Es

Imen Essrhir (June 4, 1998) is a French singer of Moroccan descent. Born in Sevran, she initially showed interest in football and boxing before considering a career in music. In the following years, she released a series of online videos that led to her discovery by rapper Abou Debeing, who took her under his wing and became her producer. In 2018, she featured on the rapper’s “Mes défauts” and released her debut single “Attentat,” which peaked at Number 23 on the French charts and achieved gold certification. Her next single, “1ère fois” (2020) featuring Alonzo fell just short of reaching the Top 10, and “Jusqu'au bout” (2020) with Amel Bent reached the top of Belgium’s Ultratop 50 Airplay chart. Both singles were included in her sprawling 2020 studio debut Nos Vies, which placed 5th on the French Albums Chart and featured appearances by Dadju, Alonzo, Marwa Loud, Abou Debeing, Jul, and Franglish. The album soon went platinum and an extended edition titled Nos Vies (Réédition) saw the light later that year. In 2021, her singles “Fantôme” and “Essaie encore” managed to crack the French Top 10, cementing her status as one of the biggest names in the Gallic urban music scene. Later that year, her second studio effort Es bowed at Number 14 in France.
