Dwaine Dorough, or Howie D as he is known to his fans, was born in Florida, USA and rose to fame as a member of Backstreet Boys, the multi-million selling band best known for hits such as 'I Want It That Way' and 'Shape of My Heart'.

Dorough began singing as a child and in his teens began to develop a singing and acting career after being discovered by an agent. Initially he was known as 'Tony Donetti', a name given to him by his management company.

In 1993 Dorough, along with Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, Nick Carter and Dorough's schoolfriend AJ Mclean formed the band Backstreet Boys and signed with Jive Records. After a slow start the band gathered momentum and their debut album made the top ten in charts around the globe and sold eight million copies. During their career Backstreet Boys rose to become of the world's most successful pop bands and sold over 135 million records.

Dorough launched his solo career in 2011 with the release of his debut album 'Back to Me'. The lead single from the album was '100', a dance track which has enjoyed moderate success, mainly in Canada. After releasing a live set in 2012 titled 'Live from Toronto' Dorough's follow-up studio album was 'Which One Am I' released in 2019.
