Hasan Raheem

With a suave voice and a handle on both rap and R&B, the Pakistani singer, songwriter, and rapper known as Hasan Raheem (born in Gilgit on May 2nd, 1998) was on course to becoming a doctor when he swapped his stethoscope for a guitar. He began writing, recording, and uploading music to YouTube in 2019, while he was still in medical school, and went on to earn praise for tracks like "Joona," (2021) "Sar Phira," (2021) and "Sun Le Na" (2022). 2019 marked the start of a collaborative partnership with Abdullah Kasumbi, which kicked off with the "Kya Kahun" single and traversed the aforementioned trio of songs, among others. He has also teamed up with several other artists, including Rozeo for 2021 single "OMG," Karakoram for 2022 single "KYUN," and more. He has been known to merge the traditional with the modern, sometimes weaving using Gilgiti-evoking dance moves into his music videos as well as using his native language, Shina, in his music. In 2022, his song "Peechay Hutt" with Justin Bibis and Talal Qureshi from the Pakistani TV program Coke Studio (season 14) was featured in the end credits of the US miniseries Ms. Marvel ("Crushed" episode).
