Faizal Tahir

A former member of Nasyid group Mirwana, Malaysian pop vocalist Faizal Tahir made a name for his solo self by being named runner-up (to winner Suki Low) in the television reality talent show One in a Million. Having left Mirwana in 2005 due to illness, Tahir set out on a solo career that would encompass not just the high placement on television, but also a spot as host of the reality show Gangstarz as well as the release of a hit album, Aku.Muzik.Kamu, in 2007. The album, a result of his popularity on television, was a group effort, including songs penned by Tahir himself and such regional luminaries as Audi Mok, Omar K, and Teesh RS.
