Esce sull’onda (redditizia) delle polemiche autoindotte il tredicesimo album della band irlandese capitanata da Bono. L’album e’ stato presentato e pubblicato in esclusiva e gratuitamente per un limitato lasso di tempo attraverso la piattaforma ITunes, salvo poi scatenare le proteste dei fan (e magari di altre band e musicisti, a ragione) e un comico dietrofront della band. Successivamente e’ arrivata la pubblicazione ufficiale, contenente 11 tracce , che aumentano a 16 nella versione deluxe ) con una nutrita schiera di produttori , da Brian Burton (Beck, Norah Jones, Gorillaz), a Ryan Tedder (Adele, Maroon 5), Paul Epworth, Flood, e molti altri. Primo singolo estratto “The miracle (of Joey Ramone)”, brano pop rock molto radiofonico che ha contribuito, come previsto a fare schizzare le vendite verso l’alto e raggiungere le vette delle classifiche internazionali.
