Released alongside the triple-disc/single-DVD set Above the Clouds: The Collection, The Very Best of Glenn Frey contains the first disc from that box. It's all the hits, plus a few songs from his last act that didn't chart but were still representative. This doesn't have all his charting hits -- the early AOR cuts "Don't Give Up" and "Partytown" are missing in action -- but it hits the high points and, as a stand-alone single-disc compilation, it rivals anything that came before.
