Preston Pablo is a Canadian singer-songwriter and alternative R&B artist. He was born in the small rural community of Timmins, Ontario. At an early age, he became interested in his parents’ music collection, listening to everyone from Michael Jackson to Toby Keith, the Beastie Boys, and his fellow Canadian Justin Bieber. Over the course of several years, he taught himself how to play guitar and other instruments, working on his own music. Soon he was garnering acclaim for his soulful, yearning style of performing and songwriting. During his senior year of high school, he released his debut single “OMO” (2019), which went viral and brought Preston Pablo some attention. He was highlighted by publications such as Banger of the Day, and other singles such as the Fawlin collaboration “Circles” and “When We Were Kids” with Zeegs appeared in 2020. That year, he also racked up over 1 million plays on streaming platforms with his single “One Sided.” In 2021, he signed with Universal Music Canada, releasing the Banx & Ranx-produced single “Don’t Break (My Soul).” This was followed by “Flowers Need Rain” in 2022, which peaked at Number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In late 2022, coinciding with the holiday season, Preston Pablo released his cover of the classic Christmas song “Winter Wonderland,” reaching Number 94 on Billboard's US pop charts.
