Mona Lisa

Kimberly Leadbetter (November 20, 1979), better known as Mona Lisa, is an American R&B singer, actress, and record producer. Born and raised in Union, South Carolina, Leadbetter made her debut with the single “Can't Be Wasting My Time” (1996), featuring hip-hop group The Lost Boyz, which made it to Number 20 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks and was included in the soundtrack for Paris Barclay’s 1996 comedy Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. 11-20-79 (1996), her first and only full-length, peaked at Number 15 on the Heatseekers chart and spawned two other singles: “You Said” and “Just Wanna Please U.” In the following years, she released a handful of standalone singles, including “Peach” (1998), “Girls” (2004), and “Get At Me” (2007), and made an appearance on the soundtrack of 2011’s King of Paper Chasin’ with the song “First Klass.” In 2012, her song “Once Upon a Time” made its way to the soundtrack of the feature film The Heart Specialist.
