Lauren Duski

Country-pop singer/songwriter Lauren Duski rose to national attention in early 2017 as a finalist on season 12 of NBC's talent competition The Voice. She scored a Hot Country Songs hit that year with "Deja Vu" before issuing her 2019 EP Midwestern Girl. Duski has continued to mature, releasing songs like 2020's "The Broken Kind" and 2021's "I Would for You." Born in 1991, the Gaylord, Michigan native began performing with a local country band in high school, touring around the northern part of the state and appearing as an opener for Randy Travis, Lonestar, Bill Anderson, and other well-known acts. While in college at the University of Michigan, Duski began to focus more on songwriting and, after graduating with a biopsychology degree, decided to take a chance on her music career with a move to Nashville. After a successful audition earned her a spot on The Voice in 2017, she had a wildly successful run on the show, ultimately finishing as runner-up. In May of that year, The Complete Season 12 Collection was released, compiling Duski's performances on the show including the hit single "Deja Vu." She returned in 2019 with the Midwestern Girl EP, which included the singles "Costume Party" and "Runnin' (To You)." It cracked the Top 50 of Billboard's Independent Albums chart. More singles followed, including 2020's "The Broken Kind" and 2021's "I Would for You."
