Jade LeMac

Club-friendly pop singer and songwriter Jade LeMac is known for her personal, often confrontational lyrics and sleek, shimmery sound design. After hitting streaming charts with her official debut single, 2021's "Constellations," she issued the EPs Constellations and Confessions in 2023. The striding 2024 single "Narcissistic" -- which referred to LeMac herself -- appeared on an extended version of the second collection. Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Jade LeMac began teaching herself piano in the sixth grade, then took up the guitar with help from online tutorials. She cultivated a following across multiple social media platforms in the later 2010s with videos featuring her dancing, singing, and capturing moments of everyday life. She eventually shared videos of performances of original songs that garnered hundreds of thousands of views, and released material through local indie label Monstercat. After signing with Arista while still in her teens, LeMac made her official debut with August 2021's "Constellations," an intimate song in the sonically assertive tradition of Sia whose title referred to mapping a partner's body. Receiving tens of millions of plays, the song landed on streaming charts, and she followed it up with tracks that would be collected on the Constellations EP in February 2023. A fresh batch of songs took the form of the Confessions EP in November of that year. A deluxe version of the latter EP appeared the following March and included the self-referencing 2024 single "Narcissistic."
