Gigi炎明熹

Gigi Wong Kai-yan (known professionally as Gigi Yim), born in Hong Kong on April 9, 2005, is a Hong Kong singer and actress. Yim showed an interest in singing from a young age, and with encouragement by her uncle, began taking singing lessons and participating in talent shows and competitions. In 2021, she became a contestant on TVB's reality talent show, Stars Academy, where she gained popularity for her performance of Sandy Lam's "Without You, But Still Love You." After winning the competition, Yim made her solo debut in September 2021 with the single "Noble Truth." Later in the same year, Yim joined forces with Chantel Yiu, Windy Zhan, and Yumi Chung to form the girl group, After Class, with their debut single, "Present For Future" appearing shortly after. In 2022, Yim continued to release solo singles, including "It's Complicated," "One Water Two Ways," "Most Concerned About," "Flame," and "Wanna Date You." She also participated in the reality singing competition, Infinity and Beyond, and was awarded the Metro Radio Hits Music Awards for her single "Flame." In 2023, Yim released two Cantopop singles, "今生今世" and "Eye-Opener," which charted at numbers 12 and 14, respectively. She also performed the ending theme from the television drama Speakers of Law, entitled “Love is …” which peaked at number 29.
