Flood Dick
b. 13 November 1932, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Pop singer-songwriter Flood performed with US singer Billy Graves as ‘The Country Lads’ on Jimmy Dean’s CBS television show in 1957. Flood achieved his only hit in 1959 when his cover version of the French-adapted ‘The Three Bells (The Jimmy Brown Song)’ reached number 23 in the US charts. It was released in the UK on the short-lived Felsted label in September 1959, but failed to chart due to versions from US vocal group the Browns and a re-release of the US 1954 hit from French group Compagnons De La Chanson, both of which made the UK Top 30.
