Deux Visages

Combining taut riffs with gauzy, guitar-forward melodies, Deux Visages caught the attention of indie fans with singles like “Cheetah,” “Tethered,” and “February,” and urgent live sets to match. Formed in Miami when its members were in high school, Deux Visages -- singer Daphney Homono, guitarist Jack Chiu, bassist Tony Jouvin, and drummer Antoine Lappin -- built a local following with a sound that recalled turn-of-the-millennium indie rock (the Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) combined with more contemporary influences (Mitski, Julie, Momma) and even a sprinkling of alternative pop across generations (Talking Heads, Paramore). After hunkering down and self-releasing some singles and EPs during the COVID-19 pandemic, Deux Visages reset in 2023 with the singles “Cheetah” and “Tethered,” both propelled by fuzzy guitar riffs and layered harmonies from Himono. By the end of the year, they had signed to Atlantic and made the bill of Miami’s III Points Festival. A third single, “February,” followed in 2024, along with tour dates in support of Sir Chloe.
