Appalachian Death Ride
Originally intended as a way to kill time while living out in the backwoods of Athens, OH, Appalachian Death Ride debuted in 1989 with their heavy hybrid of psychedelic punk. After releasing their debut EP, Butterfly 2, in 1989, the band eventually progressed with a faster, noisier influence of garage punk. Hailing the likes of the Pagans, Gaunt, and the New Bomb Turks, Anyway Records would release two additional singles before putting out Appalachian Death Ride's self-titled first full-length in 1996.
