Après la Liturgie de Saint Jean Chrysostome, le Latvian Radio Choir dirigé par Sigvards Klava revient à Rachmaninov chez Ondine ! L'ensemble présente un nouvel enregistrement sensationnel des Vêpres pour chœur mixte a cappella. À l'époque on aurait demandé à Rachmaninov, qui a divisé le chœur en huit voix, où trouver de telles basses, "si rares que les asperges à Noël". Chez le Latvian Radio Choir, nul doute que les asperges sont disponibles toute l'année.
