Il n’y a pas grand chose à reprocher à la composition de la première compilation de U2. Il manque peut-être quelques chansons importantes telles "Gloria", "I Fall Down", "Seconds" et "Two Hearts Beat as One", mais tout le reste mérite d’y figurer. Malgré la solidité de la sélection, le résultat général est inférieur à la somme de ses composants, chaque chanson étant splendide en elle-même, mais l'effet global, un chouilla décevant. Pour les fans occasionnels ou les prophètes de la nostalgie, il peut s’agir d’un choix opportun dans le sens où ils trouveront tout ce qu'ils veulent entendre, mais tous ceux dont l’intérêt est plus que passager trouveront davantage leur bonheur dans les albums individuels.
