En France, on a Émile & Images, soit la réunion de Gold et d’Images. Aux Etats-Unis, ils ont NKOTBSB, soit la fusion des New Kids on the Block et des Backstreet Boys. Après une tournée aux Etats-Unis en 2011, les groupes sortent un album en commun.
Côté News Kids, on trouve « Step by Step », « You Got iI (The Right Stuff) » et « Tonight ». Côté Backstreet Boys, « Everybody », « I Want It That Way» et « As Long As You Love Me ». Ça, c’est pour le quart d’heure nostalgie.
Côté inédits, difficile de sonner actuel en étant estampillé boys band. Le single « Don’t Turn Out the Lights » donne le ton. C’est un énième titre dancefloor comme on entend sur toutes les radios. « All In My Head » est une ballade mid-tempo romantique, histoire de ne dérouter personne. Pour couronner ce revival, NKOTBSB offre à ses fans un mash-up de 6’38. Attention à l’indigestion !
