Sur La Septième Vague, l'extraordinaire compositeur de chanson française Laurent Voulzy revisite la musique qui l'a influencé. Le titre éponyme nostalgique est le seul morceau original de l'album, mais il est accompagné de reprises de mélodies des années 60 pour la plupart, françaises comme américaines. Parmi les moments forts du disque, on note les bonnes interprétations de "Le Piano de la Plage" de Charles Trénet et "À Bicyclette" de Pierre Barouh et Francis Lai, ainsi que "59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)" de Paul Simon et "Do You Wanna Dance" de Robert Freeman. La seule réelle excentricité de l'album est l'interprétation remarquable de "Smooth Operator" de Sade, qui a vraiment l'air d'avoir été enregistrée à l'époque des débuts de Saravah.
