The Söhne Mannheims continue their soul- and R&B-influenced pop on their fourth studio album Barrikaden von Eden. While many of the album tracks are introspective ballads in the vein of their most successful singles ("Ist Es Wahr (Aim High)"), the band offers a number of rockier songs as well, such as the riff-heavy "Kill All Psychopaths." The band's four vocalists (including Xavier Naidoo) sing and rap in both German and English, with lyrics oscillating between social and political commentary and relationship woes. Barrikaden von Eden reached number two in the German, Austrian, and Swiss charts.
