Après ses débuts dans le jazz, le groupe est devenu la référence de l'ère disco par excellence et ses chansons sont encore utilisées comme samples par de nombreux musiciens aujourd'hui. Des chansons comme "Celebration", "Ladies Night" ou "Get Down On It" font partie intégrante de chaque fête depuis Kool & The Gang !
