Yxngxr1

The lo-fi bedroom recordings of Welsh producer, rapper, and singer Yxngxr1 first blew up in 2019 with the release of his debut track, the half-sung, half-rapped "Tyler." Born and raised just outside of Cardiff, Yxngxr1 had been inspired by the likes of XXXtentacion, Lil Pump, and Ski Mask the Slump God to start making his own British take on the lo-fi, D.I.Y. sound of trap and hip-hop. Cutting together loops and beats on rudimentary equipment, Yxngxr1, uploaded his first track to acclaim in 2019. A slew of material followed, all self-released, while his sound expanded, bringing in guitars with his tales of everyday life. His debut mixtape, Childhood Dreams, arrived in 2019. Following hot on its heels, Yxngxr1 dropped a second tape, I Don't Suit Hats, at the beginning of 2020.
