Guardian Angel
Detroit's first regional rock supergroup, Guardian Angel was founded in 1972 by former Rationals frontman Scott Morgan and bassist Terry Trabandt in tandem with ex-Savage Grace singer/guitarist Al Jacquez; joined by lead guitarist Jeff Jones and Morgan's drummer brother Dave, the band quickly translated its members' past successes into a major fan following of their own, earning renown throughout the southeastern Michigan concert circuit for their incendiary live appearances. However, after issuing their lone single, "Hijackin' Love," Guardian Angel self-destructed; while Scott Morgan went on to form his own eponymously-named band, Jacquez, Jones and Dave Morgan soon reunited in Lightnin'.
