Abigail Grush

Since 1992, Abigail Grush has collaborated with a number of musicians throughout the Pacific Northwest -- whether it was through the avant-garde pop of PeaSoup or through her own solo performances. With her accompanying backing band of the Phantom Beat -- otherwise known as Frank Pullen and Cassie Peek -- a multi-instrumental experimentation of pop is not only carried on from her prior band, but also features a collaboration of guitars, accordions, clarinets, piano, trumpets, saxophones, and harmonica. By 2000, the Seattle-based Barsuk Records would eventually capture this sound on Grush's 2000 self-titled full-length debut.
