The year 1938 saw the creation of one of Rodgers and Hart's most successful musicals, The Boys from Syracuse. The basic plot was taken from Shakespeare's A Comedy of Errors, a tale of mistaken identity and misplaced twin brothers. Lorenzo Hart's younger brother, a comedian named Teddy, was featured in a prominent role as one of the servants (both named Dromio). Highlights in the score include "Falling in Love with Love," "What Can You Do with a Man?" and "Sing for Your Supper." The original studio cast has all of the strengths associated with the show, and is the earliest cast recording available.
