Wesla Whitfield performs some of her favorite songs on this superior outing, which includes five melodies with Sammy Cahn lyrics and a variety of high-quality vintage tunes. Joined by pianist/arranger Michael Greensill, the reeds of Noel Jewkes, bassist Michael Moore and drummer Joe La Barbera, Whitfield sounds quite happy and typically musical on such numbers as "It's a Most Unusual Day," "Almost Like Being in Love," "I Fall in Love Too Easily" and "All My Tomorrows." An excellent example of Wesla Whitfield's ability to uplift songs by simply bringing out their inner beauty.
