L'occasion, notamment, de découvrir ses lectures de classiques comme « The Little Drummer Boy » (« De Kleine Trommelaar ») entre autres pierres angulaires du genre. Décliné par la suite en version deluxe puis accompagné d'un DVD, l'album connaît en outre une nouvelle jeunesse à la faveur du succès rencontré par le single « Door Jou (Nieuw Geluk »), extrait du best of De Hits et publié pour les fêtes de fin d'année 2017.
