Grandson is the second posthumous studio album and third overall from late Chicago rapper King Von. Arriving three years after Von's death in 2020, the 17-track collection of songs constructed around pre-existing vocal recordings from the archives represents the drill star at the continued height of his storytelling style, with lyrical portraits of intense street struggles, violent confrontations, and hood survival. The title of the album goes back to Von's 2019 debut mixtape Grandson, Vol. 1, and features guest spots from big names like Polo G, Tee Grizzley, G Herbo, and even a verse from Lil Durk on the melodic trap track "From the Hood."
