Pour son premier album pour le mythique label Stax, Ben Harper s’est associé avec le virtuose de l’harmonica blues Charlie Musselwhite. Sur ce douzième album studio de Ben Harper, se mêlent à la fois gospel, country et rhythm’n’blues. Une alchimie qui lui permet d’élargir sa palette artistique de manière inédite. Au final, une musique assez intemporelle, comme si elle avait été enregistrée il y a quarante ans à Chicago dans les studios Chess et non au Carriage House à Los Angeles.
