Already an outstanding urbano producer and composer, Jhay Cortez decided to launch a second career as a solo recording artist in May of 2018 with Eyes on Me, followed exactly one year later by Famouz. The latter collection of trap and melodic reggaeton was spearheaded by the mega hit remix of "No Me Conoche" with J Balvin and Bad Bunny. Other guests include C Tangana ("¿Cuánto Es?") Rafa Pabón ("Cuando Bebe"), Tainy ("Imagineste"), and Almighty ("Costear"). Famouz was propelled to the upper rungs of the Latin Rhythm Albums charts while its videos enjoyed millions of views.
