In 2011, Tory Lanez began the Chixtape series, an outlet for the singer/rapper to spotlight formative R&B hits through sampling and reinterpretation. The fifth volume, designated a proper album, arrives in 2019 and sticks to the (presumably costly) concept, using a raft of familiar tracks that with rare exception date from the 2000s. The 70-minute set is filled with libidinal slow jams, including tracks built on Snoop Dogg's "Beautiful" ("Beauty in the Benz"), T-Pain's "I'm Sprung" ("Jerry Sprunger"), and Chris Brown's "Take You Down" ("The Take").
