Publiée en 2020 via Napalm Records et succédant à l'album studio The Sacrament of Sin (2018), Best of the Blessed constitue la quatrième compilation officielle en date de la formation power metal allemande Powerwolf, emmenée par le chanteur Attila Dorn. Proposant une sélection de seize titres issus du répertoire du groupe dans des versions parfois réenregistrées comme "We Drink Your Blood" ou "Sanctified With Dynamite", l'album est en outre amendé dans sa version Earbook d'un recueil de 18 titres live captés au fil de la tournée Wolfsnächte Tour 2018 et s'impose en seconde position des charts à domicile à sa sortie, propulsé par les versions réenregistrées de "Kiss of the Cobra King" (2005) et "Werewolves of Armenia" (2009).
