Le tempo basique de la drill est de 140 BPM. Alors le second album d’Hamza porte bien son nom. Plusieurs mois avant sa sortie, ce genre rap pointait dans sa musique, dans son attitude, dans ses collaborations… Voici donc la confirmation d’une tendance : 140 BPM 2 transpire la drill à grosses gouttes, sans pour autant se limiter aux carcans du genre. Plus sombre, le Belge balaie ici son romantisme habituel, les influences de Toronto qui avaient construit le titre La Sauce en 2015 ou son premier album Paradise en 2019, deux étapes phares de sa carrière. Cette fois, c’est la noirceur des featurings avec Kaaris sur Hara-Kiri ou Gazo et Guy2Bezbar sur Spaghetti qui mènent la danse. Avec, à la prod, une volée de pointures, notamment Prinzly, Ponko, Lucozi ou Pierrari, garants d’un futur rap francophone bouillonnant, et architectes d’un album qui, s’il ne fait pas que des émules, montre la dureté d’un artiste en perpétuelle connexion avec le son d’aujourd’hui.
