Yury Revich
Yury Revich is an award-winning classical violinist who is also known for many humanitarian and artistic accomplishments. He is in-demand as a recording artist and has recorded a variety of chamber music and concertos from all eras. Revich began playing the violin when he was five years old, initially learning from his father, a third-generation violinist. At the age of seven, he attended the Central Musical Academy of the Moscow Conservatory, studying with Galina Turchaninova. From 2005 to 2009 he was a student of Victor Pikaizen, and then he worked with Pavel Vernikov at the Vienna Conservatory. 2009 saw his debut performance at Carnegie Hall, and in 2012 he released his first solo album, “Russian Soul,” with the Ars Produktion label. Since then, he has recorded several albums with Naxos, Odradek, and Capriccio Records. A devoted humanitarian, Revich is the artistic director of the “Friday Nights with Yury Revich” non-profit arts concert series that began in 2016. Here, he combines formal music performance with non-musical art such as dance, fashion, and sensory arts. Past partnerships include UNICEF Austria, All for Autism, and many others. The following year, his “Dreamland” project raised funds to provide clean water systems for schools in Syria. Also in 2017, Revich and Yuliya Draganova created the Beethoven Society for Music and Research, which awards a prize to young musicians and scientists for their outstanding accomplishments and holds a competition for young violinists and pianists. In 2021, Revich collaborated with Michael Halasz and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra for the album Saint-Georges: Symphonies Concertantes; Symphony in G major. He also produced music in the crossover genre, including arrangements of both classic and original works, and his Green Anthem, which featured 100 musicians from around the world. In a departure from music, Revich designed his own line of eye jewelry called “Atalier,” inspired by the “shapes of the world and sound.”
