Oh, che magnifica sorpresa! Le rare, rarissime opere di Martinů per ensemble vocale, delle vere meraviglie, sono qui proposte ai martinůfili naturalmente, ma anche a tutti gli amanti delle belle voci, della bella scrittura vocale, delle rarità. Le opere presentate dall’ensemble Martinů Voices, che d’altronde non sono tutte dei madrigali nel senso stretto del termine – vi troviamo cicli sacri, pezzi d’ispirazione popolare, ma anche madrigali veri e propri – risalgono al grande periodo creativo del compositore, fra il 1934 e la sua scomparsa nel 1959. Non è neanche tutto strettamente a cappella, visto che i Tre Canti sacri fanno appello anche al violino solista, e Primula H. 348 del 1954 ricorre al violino e al pianoforte, oltre alle voci. Quanto ai Cinque madrigali cechi del 1948, rappresentano la summa dell’arte polifonica del compositore: delicatezza, trasparenza, sincerità, una bellezza pura difesa con ardore dall’ensemble Martinů Voices diretto da Lukáš Vasilek che, visibilmente, sa di cosa parla – o piuttosto di cosa canta. © SM/Qobuz
