PNV Jay

N.Y.C. rapper PNV Jay got an early start in the rap game, releasing his first singles when he was just 15 years old. Part of New York's drill scene, the rapper's tracks were characterized by dark, menacing beats and relentless flows. His single "OMBK" was released in late 2017 and its video went viral, eventually reaching a view count in the millions. The strength of this song and ensuing tracks like "Level Up" and "Out the Hood" led to a contract with Atlantic Records. The rapper's debut mixtape, Paid N Verified, was released by the major label in late 2018. PNV Jay was born Jalen Stevens in the Bronx, but spent his early teenage years getting involved in Brooklyn's thriving rap scene. Stevens took the name PNV, an acronym for "Paid N Verified," and began rapping locally and producing his own tracks and videos. Still in his mid-teens, the rapper quickly found his music reaching a wider audience, with viral videos and online tracks showcasing his confident flows and more accessible take on trap rhythms. After a succession of successful tracks, PNV Jay scored a record contract and collected some of his best material in the form of his first mixtape.
