Pisetzky

Italian producer Pisetzky twists techno and house into a hypnotic, forceful blend heavy on melodic synth patterns; his debut album, Tears of a Rough Machine, was released in 2017. Born Fabiano Valli in Milan, he started out as a sound designer in the fashion industry before making the move into music in 2014, listening to hundreds of hours of basslines as research. His debut release was 2015's Off the Map EP on Just This, a label he co-founded with fellow Milanese duo Hunter/Game. He maintained a relatively sparse release schedule: the follow-up, Elevation EP, arrived the following year, and his debut album, Tears of a Rough Machine, in 2017. Showcasing his love affair with synths, it was relatively low on floor-filling beat action but heavy on atmospheric, melodic lines. After its release, he had tracks licensed for compilations on Balance and Fabric. Later releases, such as 2018's "Conquer" on Suara and 2019's "Terminal End," once again on Just This, had a tougher, more dancefloor-focused sound without forgoing his trademark synth patterns.
