Lyceum Philharmonic at American Heritage School

Based at American Heritage School in American Fork, Utah, the Lyceum Philharmonic is an audition-only youth orchestra with members representing over 30 area high schools. In addition to making their own orchestral albums, they've performed with artists ranging from the Piano Guys to David Archuleta and Michael Martin Murphey. A mix of sacred, patriotic, and classical music, including selections by Mahler and Leonard Bernstein, their debut album, Hearts & Minds, was self-released in 2011. The follow-up, 2014's The Master, arrived via R Legacy Entertainment and offered a set of religious songs arranged for orchestra. A year later, the same label released the Lyceum Philharmonic's first Christmas album, Holy Night. In 2017, the orchestra self-released Simple Gifts, consisting of their own arrangements of American folk songs, traditional pop, and hymns. With guests including tenor Nathan Pacheco and violinist Jenny Oaks Baker, it debuted at number seven on the Billboard classical chart and made it into the Top 30 of the independent albums chart.
