Ekaterina Litvintseva

Ekaterina Litvintseva is a Russian concert pianist. A precocious child, she began playing the piano at age 4, and studied music from 1994 to 2001 at the Children's Music School in Anadyr, Chukotka. At 15, her family moved to Moscow, and she attended the State Chopin Music School as a student of Irina Gabrielova's piano class. In 2006 she entered the Maimonides Classical Piano Academy, taking classes with Viktor Derevyanko, Alexander Mndoyants, and Ekaterina Derzhavina. In 2011, she studied at the College of Music and Dance in Cologne in the piano class of Nina Tichman, and graduated a Master of Music with distinction in July 2013. A move to the College of Music in Würzburg brought her in contact with Bernd Glemser, and she also studied with Robert Kulek, Rudolf Kehrer, and Andrzej Jasinski. Litvintseva has performed with various orchestras and chamber ensembles, notably the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn under conductor Heribert Beissel, with whom she performed in several of Germany's famous concert halls. Her recordings of piano concertos by Mozart and Chopin were released on the Profil - Edition Günter Hänssler label.
