Call Me Loop

A pop singer inspired by the genre's '90s and 2000s superstars as well as 2010s R&B, Call Me Loop is London-based singer/songwriter Georgia Buchanan. She began writing songs at age five and grew up singing along to Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears, and attended pop star camps during the summer. She began taking her music more seriously after graduating from university, learning guitar and the recording software Logic. Though she initially played with a band, Buchanan soon began writing and performing solo, and took her pop moniker from her mother's nickname for her. She debuted in late 2015 with the single "Love Bites," which she recorded with Portuguese producers INISCAL; she worked with them again on her 2016 follow-up "Looking at You," which became Call Me Loop's breakthrough thanks to its mix of tropical pop and Buchanan's direct vocals. That September, she released the Benji Miller-produced "Losing My Mind"; this song, along with the subsequent singles "As If" and "Know Me Better," appeared on her 2017 debut EP Call Me Loop. Following the EP's streaming success, Buchanan returned late in the year with "Maybe I'm a Liar," which featured production by Xenomania's Toby Scott. For 2018's "Give 'n' Take," she collaborated with London producer Hight.
