ANIKA is primarily known for her debut single, ANIKA | Burn the House Down Feat. MC Miker G

ANIKA comes from Norway, but she moved to New York in her late teens to pursue a career in show business. That's where she met Curtis Knight, aka Mont Curtis McNear (The man who discovered Jimi Hendrix).

ANIKA wasn’t actively pursuing a singing career, but Curtis talked her into singing for him. It turned out that she had a unique singing voice. Curtis was so excited by her talent that he took on ANIKA’s management and began writing songs for her. Curtis managed to snag a record deal for ANIKA with Dureco NL. ANIKA and Curtis left for the Netherlands where she recorded her single: ANIKA | Burn the House Down Feat. MC Miker G aka Lucien Witteveen, followed by a full-length CD titled: ANIKA | Date with Music.

Other record labels connected to ANIKA, can be mentioned Flying Records and BGM. A few months later, ANIKA and Curtis flew back to the Netherlands, for the shooting of her music video, "Burn the House Down”. The video was recorded with MC Miker G, a well-known rap artist from the Netherlands.

In 2021, ANIKA teamed up with the talented Norwegian composer and songwriter JARI. Together they collaborated to finalize her new single, Rhythm of the Light. The sound has a distinct resemblance to the music scene of the 90’s.

ANIKA's singing style has been described by various European web sites as Trance, Dance, Pop, Freestyle, House, Hi NRG and Euro House.
