This is the debut album from the new band formed by Matt McJunkins and Jeff Friedl, storied session musicians best known as rhythm section of a Perfect Circle, but who have also played separately in a host of bands including Filter, Devo, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and Eagles of Death Metal. Their album, collated from material the pair have composed over the years, has an epic, retro-futuristic sound, variously recalling Sparta, the Mars Volta, and Black Box Recorder, as on the single "Embers."
